Memorial service for Paul F. Farris, of Ltichfield, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Plummer Funeral Home with the Rev. Jay Johnson, pastor of the Union Avenue Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Elm Lawn Cemetery. There will be no visitation. The family suggests memorials be directed to the Union Avenue Christian Church. Mr. Farris died at 3 p.m. Sunday, January 10, 1999, in his home. He was 90 years old on September 15. He was self©employed as a carpenter and built several home in Litchfield. He and his wife also operated The Hatchery in Litchfield. He was a member of the Union Avenue Christian Church, Disciples of christ in Ltichfield and Litchfield Moose Lodge 1634. He was born in Illinois, a son of James Farris. His mother's name is unknown. He married Velma Marie Emmons on June 20, 1929. She died January 16, 1998. Surviving are his brother, Herman Farris of Decatur and a sister, Edna Merritt of West Sacramento, Calif. Preceding him in death was a sister, Veta Frey. A private memorial service for Paul F. Farris, of Litchfield, will be held Thursday in Plummer Funeral Home. Mr. Farris, 90, died Sunday, January 10, in his home. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers memorials be directed to the Union Avenue Christian Church, of which he was a member.
