COOPER--Last rites for James Madison Early, 60, of Klondike, who died Saturday, will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. in Cooper. Service in First Baptist Church will be conducted by the Rev. James Nealeigh, Presbyterian pastor, Delta Funeral Home making burial.

Mr. Early, who suffered a stroke Thursday, died yesterday at 7:40 a.m. in St. Joseph's Hospital in Paris. He had been employed many years at the R. N. Stovall Hardware Store here. He was born in Delta County, Dec. 2, 1891, a son of the late Milton Y. and Anna Adair Early.

Surviving are his wife, the former Miss Sally Jones, and these children by a former marriage: Mrs. John Gelino, Tulsa, Okla.; Mrs. L. E. Devaney, Dallas; Mrs. Oscar Smith, Jr., Texarkana, and Mrs. D. R. Totten, Montgomery, Ala.; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Clyde Early, Mesquite, and D. K. Early, Klondike, and a sister, Mrs. Houston Good, Paris. A son, James M. Early, Jr., was killed while serving in the Navy in World War II.
