Served in the Revolutionary War under Gen. George Rogers Clark in the 'Virginia Line'. He was one of the earliest settlers of Macon County and was buried with the 'Honors of War'. His death notice was in the Liberty Weekly Tribune 27 Dec 1850.
His name is on a plaque in the Macon County courthouse.
