Children: William Henry Herwig Bachtel married Mary Frances Kreighbaum sister to Sarah. Hannah Martha Bachtel married Joseph Miller, and Mary Frances Bachtel married John F. Clouser and Carl Druckenbrod. Emma "Emelda" F married Manias F. Warstler, Oma Etta b 1867-1889 married Wiliam A Philips, Carolina Alice (Cordelia)+ Israel.M Lantzer, Estella+ Erwin Harter. Children Cora, Solomon, and Sarah died as infants.

Wilhelm's parents ( Christian and Mary Henry Bachtel) married in 1826 according to Stark County Records. According to Christian Bachtel, Wilhelm was born in 1827, but 1850 census and death record show 1824. The children are mentioned in his death confession i.e. (Wilhelm + Sarah Warshler, Maria Ann b 1828/29+ Lewis Wear, and Caroline b 3 Feb 1831/32 + John Wershler b 1827).

Gravesite Details

Father was Christian Bachtel, who killed his wife Mary Henry Bachtel with an ax and was hung in 1833, in Canton. Burial unknow for either. They lived in N. Industry Pike Twp Stark County Ohio, Christian and Catherine Smith Bachtel grandparents
