BLACKWELL RITES HELD AT HEATH
Charles Elvin Blackwell, 72, member of a pioneer Covington family, died at his home on RFD 3, Red Level Saturday.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Bethany Baptist Church at Heath with the Rev. D.S. Stephens and Rev. M.C. Johnson officiating. Burial was in Bethany Cemetery. Music was by the Heath church choir, accompanied by Mrs. M.C. Johnson.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Kathleen J. Blackwell; a son, Charles T., of Pensacola; four daughters, Mrs. Kathryn Barrow and Mrs. Max J. Blackwell, both of Pensacola; and Misses Diane and Toni Blackwell, both of Red Level; a brother, L.T., of Bell, Fla.; two sisters, Miss Idella Huckabee, Pelion, S.C., and Mrs. Rochelle Conner, Albany, Ga.; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Gaston Johnson, Luther Johnson, G. Johnson, Ben Johnson, H. Johnson, and Parker Johnson.
