Casey Scott Nowlin
(August 4, 2004 - May 28, 2010)

A beautiful soul was released from the loving arms of his earthly parents into the arms of his heavenly father on Friday, May 28, 2010, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Casey Scott Nowlin, 5 years old, of Texarkana, Arkansas, passed peacefully with his loving family at his side. A lifetime resident of Texarkana, Arkansas, Casey was born August 4, 2004. He was a kindergarten student at College Hill Elementary School where this year he earned a trophy for A plus conduct. Casey recently learned to ride his bicycle. He was a brave litte man as he fought for his life for more than 25 days and nights. Sweet Casey Nowlin, you were simply too perfect for this earth. He loved the Power Rangers, Spiderman and Sponge Bob. But most of all, he loved having fun, playing and laughing, especially with his big brother, Christopher. Casey is survived by his parents, Jeffery and Tammy Nowlin and brother, Christoopher of Texarkana, Arkansas, maternal grandparents, Arthur and Dorothy Wright of Texarkana, Arkansas, paternal grandparents, Donnie Nowlin of Texarkana, Arkansas, and Raymond and Mary Powell as well as his great-grandfather, Bill Wilson all of Texarkana, Texas. Forever touched by his heaven sent soul also are his aunts and uncles, Nathan and Leslie Wright, Toni and Ronnie Kidd, Kenneth Nowlin, Lisa Nowlin all of Texarkana, Cynthia and Bob Linck of Shreveport, Louisiana and Deborah and Steve Cue of Lewisville, Texas, Debbie Powell of Texarkana, special cousin, Deby Taylor Robertson of Killen, Alabama as well as a host of cousins, classmates, and an infinite number of friends and prayer warriors. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A. M. Tuesday at the Texarkana Funeral Home Arkansas Chapel with Brother Randy Smith officiating. Pallbearers will be Brandon Kidd, Justin Nowlin, Michael Nowlin, Zachary Nowlin, David Richardson, and Ronnie Kidd. Burial will be at East Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 PM until 8:30 P.M. Monday. The family would like to thank the emergency responders, Christus St. Michael's Hospital, Angel Air Flight, and especially the doctors and nurses of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit as well as the entire staff of Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas, all who desperately fought with and for Casey. The family will be at the home of Raymond and Mary Powell, 2311 Cedar Hill Road, Texarkana, Texas.
