Marie Johnson---Marie Johnson, 79, of Warren, Ark., died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1999, at Wagnon Place Nursing Home in Warren, Ark. She was born June 2, 1920, in Sheridan. She was the daughter of the late David Hunter and Annie Gertrude Shoptaw Murry. She was a homemaker, and a member of First Baptist Church of Warren, Ark. Survivors are her husband, Rev. Elvin Lewis Johnson, whom she married Feb. 4, 1947; 3 daughters, Linda Gayle Thompson of Warren, Ark. , Mary Ellen Thorpe of Little Rock, Ark., Sue Fulgium of Texarkana, Texas; 1 brother, Robert Murry of Little Rock, Ark.; 1 sister , Edna Tabor of Little Rock, Ark.; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Thursday, Nov. 18, 1999, at 1:30 p.m. at Frazer's Funeral Home with Rev. Wayman Mann and Rev. Kenny Worbington officiating. Burial was in Adams Singer Cemetery near Warren, Ark. Organist was Janice Sullivan. Active pallbearers were Ray Jackson, Wayne Steadman, Verald Sloan, Jerald Smith, Marvin Agee and Dale Taylor. Honorary pallbearers were Otis Brady, David Wise, and Johnny Forrest.
