The death, last Saturday afternoon, of Arthur Chamberlain, aged 18 years, son of J.L. Chamberlain, who resides about five miles northwest of this city, was as sad and sudden as it was unexpected. We are informed that he was in apparent good health in the forenoon, and was engaged as usual in the performance of farm duties, that he ate a hearty dinner, and was in company with his father and Mr. John Bakewll, at the stable getting ready a team preparatory to coming to town, when he was taken suddenly ill, fell to the ground and almsot instantly expired. As he heretofore enjoyed good health, not having been affected with any disease known to his parents, it is supposed by physicians to have been a sudden attack of heart diseas or a termination of blood to the head. This is a sad blow to the parents, it being the third child they have lost within the last three months, thus filling the bitter cup of their affection to overflowing.

Young Arthur was an intelligent, affectionate and idolized boy, much beloved and respected by all who knew him, and is sudden demise has cast a gloom over the entire neighborhood in which he resided.
