Helen was born in Waukegan on October 23,1909. She and her brothers Lyman, Marshall and Robert(Larry) attended local schools. She attended Beloit College and graduated from the University of Illinois. On Nov. 11,1933, Helen married Charles E (Pete)Meador. and they lived in Waukegan and Gurnee until 1971 when they relocated to Englewood, Florida, and retired to Florence, Arizona in 1987. Her great grandparents, Lyman and Clarissa Wilmot built a home in Deerfield on the road and near the school named for them. Her grandfather Lewis O. Brockway,born to lake Zurich pioneers in 1854 served as County Clerk and Clerk of the Circuit Court of Lake County for many decades until he was succeeded by his son-in-law L.J. Wilmot, Helen's Father. Helen belong to Delta Delta Delta Sorority, P.E.O, First Congregational Church of Waukegan and the United Methodist Church of Englewood. She is survived by her Husband Charles, Daughter Peggy (Tino) Aguirre, Three grandchildren Jeff, Laura and Becky and 9 great grandchildren all of Arizona. She is also survived by her Brother Robert (Larry)of Arkansas. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. Private Services and Interment were held in Florida.
