"Beloved mother and grandmother, Violet Jesse Johnson Thompson, age 78, died July 1, 1989 at the home of her daughter.

Born March 26, 1911 in Hyrum, Utah to Niels Albert Johnson and Amy Maud Hulse. Married David Joseph Thompson September 20, 1932 in Ogden, Utah; solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. He preceded her in death August 29, 1941.

She graduated from Budge Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1943 as a registered nurse and worked in that profession for 30 years. Active member LDS Church, Valley Park 6th Ward; Primary teacher; MIA teacher; name extraction program; and dedicated temple worker. Served a health mission to South Dakota, Rapid City.

Survived by son and two daughters, ...; Mrs. Douglas (Norene) Calvert, Salt Lake City; ...

18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three brothers and eight sisters, ...

Preceded in death by son, Keith David Thompson; a brother and two sisters.

Funeral services 11 a.m., Thursday, July 6, at Valley Park 6th Ward Chapel, 5233 South 3200 West, Taylorsville. Friends may call Wednesday, 6-8 p.m., at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment, Logan City Cemetery."
