Born October 12, 1903 in Byrdstown, Tennessee, daughter of John Lewis and Louverna Katherine Boring Amonette.
Married Orson L. Marsing on June 29, 1925 in Victor, Utah; this marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Orson died January 2, 1987.
Member LDS Church. Resident of Carbon, Emery County, since 1922. She was a school teacher in Ferron and Victor. Active member in many church callings. With her husband, Orson, she helped manage Marsing Ranching Operations in Southeastern Utah for many years. Her love of life was her family and many friends.
Survived by: son, Boyd, and his wife, Caleen Marsing, Price; daughter-in-law, Phyllis D. Marsing, Salt Lake City; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; many loving relatives. Preceded in death by daughter, Lois; son, Jack D. Marsing; and great-granddaughter, Jennifer Gordon.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Carbonville First Ward Chapel, 175 North 120 West, Carbonville. Friends may call at Mitchell Chapel on Tuesday and Wedesday prior to the services. the family will be at Mitchell's on Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and at the Church on Wednesday one hour prior to the services.
Interment: Price City Cemetery.
