Jewett Rites Held Sat. In Panhandle.
Last rites in memory of Arthur William Jewett were held Saturday afternoon in the First Baptist Church at Panhandle with Rev. Bill Lewis and Rev. Alvis Cooley officiating. Burial was in Citizens Cemetery, Clarendon.
Mr. Jewett, 75, died Thursday, last, in a Pampa hospital. He and his family moved to Donley County in 1942. Mrs. Jewett preceded him in death last year.
Survivors include four sons, Robert of Wellington, Kan., Clifford of Amarillo, John of Albuquerque, Arthur of Panhandle; five daughters, Mrs. Birda Ferguson and Mrs. Doris Osburn of Amarillo, Mrs. Nola Blalock and Mrs. Lorene Caffee of Panhandle, and Mrs. Elaine Ivy of Memphis; three brothers, 27 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
