Robert James "Bobby" Johnson was born July 2 1942 in Chester, Pennslyvania. The son of the Jacob Johnson Jr, and Virginia Mae Taylor Johnson Chavis. He departed this life on thursday, May 20, 2010 at Wilmington Hospital, Wilmington De following a lengthy illness.
Robert recieved his early education at the Eddystone School District and later attended The University Of Delaware for two years, studying Design and carpentry. He was employee of Allied chemical company , Claymont, De until retiring in 1985. He then started his career in carpeting with Etage' Carpet Service, Where he worked for seven years; leaving the company to start his own carpet business "R.J. Johnson Carpet Service", which he worked until his health began to fail.
Bobby as he was effectionately called leaves to cherish his memory: his wife of 31 years, Jacqueline T Johnson: two sons Robert J. Johnson II, Chester Pa and Eladio Masses (Tabitha) Bear De. Six Daughters: Andrilla Harding (Vincent), Cheryl Miller,Jeanne Marie Ingram, And Orien Johnson all of Chester Pa; Ruth Masses and Daniella Connelly, Bear De. Four brothers: Jacob Johnson III (Vivan), Claymont De., Alphonso Johnson(Marie), Chester Pa. Albert Kennard (Tracey),Aston Pa, Clarence Chavis Jr. Three sisters: Dolores Tyler (Samuel), Chester Pa, Jeanette Wise, Winsboro Sc, And Paulette Booker, Philadelphia Pa. Two Brothers in law: Gregory Taylor Sr. (Cynthia) and Harold Taylor Jr. (Valerie). One aunt Mildred Robinson (Lawerence) Chester Pa.
