Claude M. Wagner, 81, of Mitchell Road, died at 10:15pm on April 15, 1976, in the Jameson Memorial Hospital, where he was taken after a traffic accident, Wednesday on PA. Route 18.

He was born in Rose Point, PA, April 21, 1894, to the late J. Newton and Virgie Myers Wagner. He was a retired operating engineer in the construction industry.

He was a member of Shenango United Presbyterian Church, Local 66-D, Operating Engineers, and Aerie 455, Fraternal Order of Eagles.

He married the former Ethel Boyd. They had been married 62 years.

Relatives: six daughters, Mrs. Helen (John) Gilkey, and Mrs. Bernice (Virgil) Gibson, both of Tucson, AZ., Mrs. Virginia (Edward) Glidden, Mrs. Eleanor (Rudy) Kwiat and Mrs. Doris (Russell) Glidden, all three of New Castle, and Mrs. Joan (Gerald) Edgar of Denver, CO.; two sons, Donald W. Wagner and Kenneth L. Wagner, both of New Castle; 14 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, James Wagner and Merle Wagner; a grandson; and two brothers, George A. Wagner and Lester D. Wagner.
