W. Hawkins Ashmore, 63, of Greenville, died at 3 p.m. Wednesday at a Travelers Rest clinic after a sudden attack.
Services were conducted at Reedy River Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Hawkins was born in Greenville County, and the son of Charles Lemuel and Alice Hawkins Ashmore.
He had spent all of his life in Greenville.
For 39 years, Mr. Ashmore was with the National Coffee Co. He retired in January, 1963.
He was a member of Reedy River Baptist Church and had served as a deacon.
He was also a member of Cooper Lodge, AFM, at Travelers Rest.
