Billy Lee was the 7th child in a family of 8 children. He was born in Bollinger Hospital, Charleston, Franklin County, Arkansas. His family moved to Stinnett, Hutchinson Co., Texas in 1957, he went to school there. He was 19 years old when he enlisted in the Army. Went to Vietnam in January of 1969. He was killed at Vietnam Toy Nink Base Camp May 26, 1969 about 2 months before his 20th Birthday when his base camp came under mortar and rocket attack. Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church in Lavaca, Sebastian, Arkansas. A Military Service was held at the gravesite in Liberty Cemetery.
He has been missed by his 5 sisters and 2 brothers.
