MRS. LUCILLE J LASSITER (Hancock Funeral Home)

WARM SPRINGS, Ga. - Mrs. Lucille J. Lassiter, 71, of Rt. 1, Warn Springs, formerly of Americus, died in Greenville on Jan. 1. Funeral services were scheduled for today at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Hancock Funeral Home with the Rev. Byron McEachern officiating. Interment was to follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Lassiter was born Aug. 20, 1916, in Schley County, daughter of the late P.H. Johnson and Mary Sorrell Johnson, of Americus, who survives. She had been an Americus resident for most of her life and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Americus and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a retired interior decorator, seamstriss and homemaker.

Survivors, in addition to her monther, include her husband, Jimmie Lassiter of Warm Springs; a daugher, Mrs. Nancy Collier of LaGrange; four brothers, Roy Johnson of Ellaville, Lucius Johnson of Vienna, Howard Johnson of Americus, and William Hill Johnson of North Port, Ala.; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Those to serve as pallbearers were to be Paul Johnson, George Johnson, Curtis Johnson, Bill Oliver, Philip Bass, and Thomas Kinney. Those to serve a honorary pallbearers were to be Claude Frazier, Charlie Dorman, Charlie Speer, Max Daniel, Marvin Smith, Jr., Ike Treadaway, and Ed Jones. Friends may call at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Johnson, McMath Mill Road, Americus.
