Sara Archer Phail, 91 of North East, Md., formerly of Americus, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007 at her home.
Born in Phoenix City, Ala. on Nov. 27, 1915, she was the daughter of the late William Clarence and the late Ruby Cook (Andrews) Archer. She was the wife of the late Dyce Phail.
Mrs. Phail served during World War II in the Army as a telephone operator. She served as the church secretary at the First Baptist Church in Americus and East Point, Ga. She also taught music in schools and privately for many years.
