She was most proud of being a Mother and Grandmother. She loved and enjoyed her children and grandchildren and valued family above all else! She loved having her own and extended Rowe and Mode families over for holiday gatherings. Her interests were keeping family photo albums, reading, crossword puzzles, flower gardening and traveling.
Surviving are older son Jimmy Rowe and wife Sandra (Christensen), and daughter Sandy (Rowe) Shepard-England and husband Joel. Also surviving are seven grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren are; one great-great-grandchild who she sadly never met (Cecelia’s daughter Riley), and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her former husband Ernest Rowe, younger son Larry, his daughter Penny (Rowe) Martinez and Penny’s son Daniel Martinez. Also all her siblings; sisters, Mabel Rott, Martha Kemper-Sweeper, Mary Kendall and Bertha Allmand; and brothers, Leo, Theodore and Arthur Mode.
Family and friends will be notified of a future memorial service to be held at Spirit of Joy United Methodist Church in Coolidge. Her ashes will be interred at Valley Memorial Park.
