Louis Flurry
Died - Louis Flurry, 67, of the Broome Community, died at his home Tuesday of last week after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Flurry was born in Jackson County, and lived there until the County of George was organized and that part of the county was taken in the new county. He has lived in this section for his entire life.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the home of the deceased, with Rev. Nix in charge of the sad rites. Interment was made in the Pine Grove Cemetery [obviously changed their minds] with McKay's Morticians in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his widow, 3 daughters, Della Reeves, Lela Parker and Celeste Havens; 4 sons, Malcolm, Odus, S.D., and Thurman Flurry; 1 sister, Mrs. Isabelle Reeves, all of Perkinston; 2 brothers, Billy Flurry, of Perkinston, and Albert Flurry of Benndale; 24 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and other relatives.
Pallbearers carrying Mr. Flurry to his last resting place were R.M. McKay, R.H. Pearson, C.Y. Berry, Kenneth Moore, N.W. Berry and D.W. Tootle.
