Forest C. Crawford
Forest C. Crawford, 1031 Grand St., died this morning at the Veteran Administration Hospital in Topeka. He was employed as a mechanic for Toms Motor Company for many years and was a custodian for the Citizens National Bank and Trust Company for six years. He retired in 1967.

The time and place of services will be announced by Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home.

Graveside services for Forest C. Crawford, 1031 Grand St., who died Tuesday morning at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Topeka, will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m at the Memorial Lawn Patio Garden. The Rev. Stephen J. Williams will conduct the service. Military services will be conducted by member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1980. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.

Forest Crawford was born to Frank and Maggie Woods Crawford on Nov. 10, 1889, in Hodge, Mo. He came to Emporia in the early 1920-s and worked as a mechanic for Toms Motor Company for many years. He worked as a custodian at the Citizens National Bank and Trust Company for six years before his retirement in 1967. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of Lyon County Barracks 1111, Veterans of World War I.

Mr. Crawford married Maddie Watson, Oct. 8, 1926, in Newkirk, Okla., and she died May 18, 1950. Mr. Crawford also was preceded in death by one stepdaughter, Alberta Rogers, and two sisters.

Survivors include one son, Fores Keith Crawford of Chicago, one stepson, Franklyn E. Rogers of Phoenix, one daughter, Patricia J. White, 1031 Grand st.., one brother, Bill Crawford, 823 Sylvan St., two sisters, Stella Mason of Lexington,Mo., and Isabella Newman of Kansas City, and two grandchildren, Eric Crawford ad Mitzi Alberta White.
