Mrs. Nettie Walsh Briggs, 76, a Janesville resident from 1914 to 1951, died Friday morning in her home in St. Louis. Born in Lockport, Ill., in 1882, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. C. Kimlin. Her father was a well known race horse rider. Her first husband, Walter Walsh was treasurer of Hagenback-Wallace Circus for 25 years. He was fatally injured in a train-automobile wreck in 1920. Surviving are her husband, Richard Briggs, and one son, Ben Walsh, Janesville. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Overton Funeral Home, the rev. H. C. Kimmel, First Congregational Church, officiating. Burial will be in Cherry Valley (Ill.) Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m.
