CLAUD STEVEN RANEY, 86, died Monday of lung disease at Cloverleaf Health Care in Hemet. Born in New Boston, Texas, Mr. Raney lived in Hemet 24 years. He was a truck driver for Home Oil Distribution in Anaheim for 25 years.
He was a member of Central Church of Christ in Hemet.
Mr. Raney is survived by his wife of 67 years, Eunice; two sons, Homer of Hemet and Steven of Corona; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harlan of Antioch and Bill of New Mexico; and a sister, Mary Helen
Browning of Rio Vista.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Central Church of Christ. Friends may call from 1 until 4 p.m. Thursday at McWane Family Funeral Home in Hemet. Burial will be in San Jacinto Valley Cemetery.
