Obituary:
Donna Faye Emerson Turcotte April 25, 1946 - February 23, 2010.

Donna was born in Richmond, CA to Oscar and Aline Kaundart on April 25, 1946. Donna was the oldest of three daughters.

She went home to be with our Heavenly Father after a brief illness on February 23, 2010.

She married at 16 years old and had her only child Denise (Dee Dee).
She retired from the Martinez Sheriff's Dept and moved to Bakersfield in 2001 to be near her family and the true joy of her life, her granddaughter Devin.
At that time she chose real estate as her new career, working for Watson Realty until moving to Pioneer, CA where she continued real estate part time.

She was a life member of Los Cerritos Chapter OES, where she was a Past Matron and DGM.

After the passing of Dowl Emerson, her husband of more than 23 years, she married Howard Turcotte and moved to Fiddletown, CA. She and Howard loved riding their Harley with friends and motorcycle group, The Widows. They also found a great passion for the outdoors at Bear River Reservoir where they spent their summers camping and fishing. Donna is preceded in death by her parents, her former husband, Dowl and her sister, Janet.

Left to cherish many special memories are, her husband, Howard Turcotte; daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Dan Martin and granddaughter, Devin Orrick-Martin. She is also survived by her Emerson family, Jerry Emerson and Sandy and Jim Laurich, and her Turcotte family, Heather and Alan Orchard, Ian and Kim McLeod and Eric and Tammie Turcotte, along with Howard's six beautiful grandchildren.

Missing her like crazy are her favorite cousins, Crickett and Margie and closest friend Sondra, along with many others who loved her and called her friend.

A celebration of Donna's life will take place the weekend of June 5 when the American Legion Riders Chapter 26 from Bakersfield and The Widows from Modesto take her on her last motorcycle ride through the High Sierras to her final resting place above Bear River Reservoir.

A memorial will be given by Legion Rider Chaplain, Rev. John Heath.

Happy Birthday Mom, you were truly my lifelong best friend, the one I could always count on. I love you with all my heart and I miss you every single minute of every single day. Till I see you again my precious mommy, save a place for me. www.bakersfield.com
