Samuel Chaplin Adams was the son of William Wilson Adams and Molly Josephine Wilson (some have her listed as Susan Wilson; but we are pretty sure now that that is not correct).
He was the "2nd" Samuel Chaplin Adams - the first one was a brother to his father William.
Sam had one full brother
1. William W. Adams Jr (known as "Uncle Wick"). All these names can be difficult to keep straight when you get multiples - so be careful if your doing genealogy work.
And Sam had two full sisters:
2. Sallie Adams
3. Mittie Adams
His mother died at a young age and his father remarried to Dianah Johnson Chandler and had more children with her.
So then Sam had 6 more brothers & sisters....half siblings.
Sam himself was married 2x's. When his first wife died in 1910 he got remarried a year later.
First wife: Christiana Wade Dickenson m. 1873

3.Sarah 'Sallie' Evelyn Adams
