Annie Irene Carrigan of Millington, a retired employee of St. Joseph Hospital in Memphis, died in the Memphis hospital on Sunday morning, where she had been a patient for the past seven weeks. She was 73.

Mrs. Carrigan, wife of Clyde Carrigan, was born in Whitehall, AR. She had lived in Tipton and Shelby counties most of her life and was a member of Shelby Forest Baptist Church. Her parents were Joseph Finnie Densford and Elizabeth McKinney Densford.

Rev. Charles Timberlake officiated at services for Mrs. Carrigan on Tuesday morning in the chapel of Munford Funeral Home. Burial was in Poplar Grove Cemetery.

In addition to her husband, she leaves a son, Charles Carrigan of Clinton, MS; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She also leaves a brother, Keith Densford of Harrisburg, AR, and two sisters, Frances Thomas of Orlando, FL and Willie Jo Scott of Clovis, NM.
