Phillip married Lottie Belle Kellogg on January 5, 1918. They lived for many years near the homestead Clark and Sarah had lived on from 1906 to 1912 in Kit Carson County (Colorado) south of Seibert. Born to them are Vernon Phillip, Doris Elaine (Murphy), Velma Grace (Murphy), Leonard Leroy, Delmar Eugene, Melvin Dewey, Willard Lee, Leon Ray, Shirley Ann (Weaver), Florence Mae (Aumiller), Donna Jean (Smith), Esther Frances (Slawson), and Howard Edward.
