Juanita was born September 1, 1921, in Guilford County, a daughter of Isaac Luther and Lavonia McMillan Caughron. She lived most of her life in the High Point/Thomasville area and was a retired beautician having worked for Rose Marie Beauty Shop and Binders Beauty Shop. She was of the Primitive Baptist faith and enjoyed going to gospel singings with her best friend Ellen Hepler. Juanita also liked to play Bingo, work word search puzzles, gardening, sewing and crafts, but her greatest love was her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son; Randy Dennis (who was her first born), five brothers and three sisters. On February 20, 1944, she married Thomas A. Dennis who died October 4, 1985.

Her surviving children at the time of her death in birth order are her daughters, Brenda (Suzie) Flippin and Jean Paul; and her son, Ray Dennis. Her sole surviving sister is Wanda Long; Her sole surviving brother is Everette Caughron. She also has 6 surviving grandchildren named Joy, Ginger, Michael, Brian, Jonathan & Melissa and 4 surviving Great-grandchildren.

Funeral service were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 6, 2010, at the J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville with Rev. Frank Hensley officiating. Interment followed in the Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.

Additional info: She was the 7th born child of the 11 children of I.L. & Levonia Caughron. There were 6 boys and 5 girls. They were named in order of birth: William "Otey", Phillip Wesley "Willard", Ruby Reitzel, Nellie Matilda, Claude Haskel, Sarah "Allene", Mary "Juanita", Everett Luther, Jack Linville, Wanda Marie and Robert "Bobby" Thomas Walter Caughron. Claude died at 2 days old leaving 5 boys and 5 girls who lived to adulthood.
