Born and raised in Mt Savage, Louis went to work on the B&O railroad in Cumberland and married Angela September 27,1934. Their son Edward, was born in 1940. They bought a home at 306 Helen Street in Cumberland. A lifelong Catholic, he was active in the Knights of Columbus, and a member of the Elks.
