Obituary from the Fairbanks, Alaska "Daily News-Miner" newspaper, dated Tuesday, June 1, 2010, page B-2:

Ashley Alana Belden, nicknamed Bugsy Malone, left this world for a better place on Saturday, May 22, 2010, at the young age of 23.

Many say she had a heart too big for anyone else to carry. Ashley never passed judgment and accepted everyone as they were. Born June 14, 1986, in Fairbanks, Ashley had grown into an incredibly independent woman. Her unforgettable smile will be missed by many.

Ashley is survived by her parents, Lloydina E. Hines and Gregory J. Belden, and her younger siblings, Alysha Lorraine and Jesse Howard. She had no children but loved her nieces and nephews as much as she would her own.

Bugsy will be missed by grandparents, stepmom, step-siblings, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
A celebration of life potlatch will be held at Ashley's daddy's house for the public from 3-7 p.m. Saturday, June 12.

A private service will be held in Delta Junction, the one place Ashley considered her "sanctuary." In lieu of flowers please bring perennial flowers or vegetables for her garden or donate to Fairbanks Community Food Bank.
Our hope is that Ashley may find peace and happiness; she will forever be loved and missed. Arrangements were entrusted to Chapel of Chimes Funeral Home. Published in Daily News-Miner on June 1, 2010.
