Harlan Roe Harmon, 83, Greensburg, died Sunday, March 5, 1995 in Decatur County Memorial Hospital.

Born Jan. 23, 1912 in Russell County, Ky., he was the son of Luke and Jennetta Holder Harmon. He was married on March 1, 1933 to Sallie Phelps in Russell County. She survives.

He had lived in Greensburg since 1944 and had lived in the Westport area as well. He worked at Connersville American Central and was a self employed plumber.

Surviving besides his wife are three sons, Gilbert D. Harmon, and Rondal K. Harmon, both of Greensburg, Charles Harmon of Carmel, Ind.; one daughter, Mrs. Phil (Norma) Lowe, Indianapolis; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren. He was the last of his immediate family and was preceded in death by three half brothers, Frank, Claude and Elmer Harmon; and three half sisters, Ida Harriford, Dora Eads, and Cloda Meadows.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home in Greensburg with Rev. Lynn Harmon officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Aerie Cemetery in Letts.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
