Milton Fletcher Wright moved from Coweta County, GA. to Blount Co., AL looking for a better life for his family. The Civil War had devastated the country around Atlanta. Coweta County is on the south-west side of Atlanta. In 1860 his real estate value was $3,000.00 and personal was $3,900.00. A lot of money at that time. In 1870 the value had decreased to $1,800. & $600. A big difference. In 1880 he is listed in Blount CO. Census. He raised 7 children in Blount Co. Erasmus died at two years of age. Elizabeth moved to Texas but the other 5 lived and died in Blount Co. AL.From all the research I have found Milton, raised his family to be good church going people. My family comes from daughter, Martha Jane.

In the area of Susan Moore Township there are several families that married into each family making many families kin and double kin. The Wright Family, Ridgeway Family and Jackson Family are a few of those families. My grandmother, Adeline Ridgeway Jackson's sister, Mary Ridgeway married Blake Wright a grandson of Milton F Wright.

When I was a teen I really thought everyone in Blount Co, AL was related.
