On June 7, 1940 he married Mildred E. Lendt. They lived on a farm in the Shafer area next to his father's.
They had 2 children, Lorelei and Gary.
The family resided in Chisago County except for one and one-half years in Phoenix, AZ and six months in Lakeland, FL.
In later years he wintered in Braunfels, TX spending the remainder of the year in Minnesota,
Mr. Alexander farmed and did carpenter work as long as his health permitted and was an avid gardener.
Preceding him in death were his parents and his wife, Mildred.
He is survived by his son, Gary, of Chisago City; daughter, Mrs. Monte (Lorelei) Lovig of Minnetonka; five sisters, Juliet, Alice Fredith, Mrs. C Emil (Signe) Nelson and Mrs. Louis (Mabel) Bryce and six grandchildren.
