Eliza Ellen Brown was born in Butler County, Pa. to parents William Brown(1824-1896) and Harriet Morrison(1830-1905)
Eliza was the second oldest of nine children: John Milton, Mary McNeil, Margaret Emma, William Howard, George Addison, Clarenda Adeline, Anna Ruth and Harriet.
She would move with her parents and siblings to Iowa where she would marry and raise a family.
Eliza married Levi Scribner Alfred(1857-1942) on February 21, 1885. They would have six children together; Mary Eleanor, William Lewis, Harriet Anna, Robert Levi, Paul Milton and Ira Addison.
Eliza would die in 1909 in West branch, she is laid to rest in West Branch Cemtery in Iowa along with her parents and many of her siblings.
Her husband Levi would die on March 17, 1942 in Harlowtown, Montana.
The West Branch Municipal Cemetery is located on North Maple Street in West Branch.
