MERLE THOMPSON--75: died Friday [4-20] at home in Springboro after a sudden illness.
He was born 11 Feb 1909 in BeaverTwp, son of Ernest &Alice Coxon Thompson. His 1st wife NellieMae Daniels, died in 1952 & his 2nd wife ANN BETTS, died in 1972. He was retired from Leech Tool Co where he was employed as a tool & die maker. He was affiliated with the Protestant Church.
He was a graduate of Con-neaut Valley High School & was a tool¨ maker apprentice at General Electric-Erie. He was a member of Senior Citizens of Valley Church-Andover & Springboro Volunteeer Fire Dept, Odd Fellows & was a 63yr member of Harmony Grange.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Service will be held Tuesday [4-24] at White Funrl Home with RevValerie Burr Waibel of Laurelville & Adelphi UM Church officiating. Interment will be at Spring Cem.
