The Register of Births clearly shows her date of birth to be April 21, 1857, but her tombstone says October 23, 1857. Also, the Register of Births shows her name to be spelled Rosela, but her tombstone says Rosalie. She was born in Camp, WV.

Rosalie (the name on her marriage certificate) married William Elbert Cooper on March 30, 1879. The groom was 26 and residing in Ritchie County and the bride was 21 and residing in Tyler County at the time of their marriage. The ceremony was performed by J. C. Rexroad.

William and Rosalie had at least three children:

Oscar Elbert (3-18-1882 - 3-3-1964)
Emma Addie (born in Mole Hill, Ritchie County, WV on 7-23-1884 - 1976)
Infant son (twin to Emma)

A child with no name recorded was born to a William Elbert & Rosa Adaline Cooper on 2-23-1882 in Ritchie County. Could this be the actual birth record of Oscar?

Emma's birth record states she was the 2nd of 3 children. Her birth record shows that she had a twin brother who died at birth.

On her death certificate, her name is spelled Rosalia. She died from heart failure at the age of 61.

The Register of Deaths lists her birthplace as Salem, which would be Harrision County and not Tyler County, WV, which conflicts with the Register of Births.
