She married Walt Eckert in 1934, and had two sons. She married Quinton "Kink" Holwell on December 10, 1966, in Osage, WY, and had lived there ever since.
Elsie took great pleasure in having family and friends around her and was always a comfort and an inspiration to them.
She is survived by one sister, Lorraine Judson Griffin of Hill City; one son, Ronald Eckert of Vista, CA; her brothers-in-law, Gene Holwell of Osage and Hugh Holwell of Sundance, WY; six grndchildren, Deb Eckert and family of Custer, Darcy Lockwood and family of Yankton, Rod Eckert and family and Randy Eckert and family, all of Yakima, WA, Beth Eckert and family and Jeff Eckert and family of Vista, CA; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Quinton; her parents; son, Donald "Bud" Eckert; two sisters, Marie Judson Gardner and Velma Judson Valdez Pendelton; and one brother, Lawrence Judson.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 26, at Behrens Mortuary, and Thursday, April 27, at the church with Kenneth Gardner officiating. Burial will follow in Keystone at the Keystone Mountain View Cemetery.
A memorial has been established to Mountain View Cemetery in Keystone.
