WILLIAM MARCUS ALLEN

William Marcus Allen, 89, of Pittsburg , California died August 18, 1976 in a convalescent home in Pittsburg . He was born in Union County , Ga. , a retired farmer and a member of the Cedar Valley Baptist Church . He had been living in California for the last 21 years.

Funeral services were held Friday, August 20, 1976 at Cedar Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Kenneth Jordan officiating. Interment was in CEDAR VALLEY CHURCH CEMETERY .

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Parlee King Allen of Pittsburg ; 2 sons, Preston Allen of Pittsburg and Hubert Allen of Oglethorpe; 2 daughters, Mrs. Pearlene Graham of Marietta and Mrs. Florene Espy of Americus ; 1 sister, Mrs. Pearl Hemphill of Morganton; 19 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Watson-Mathews Funeral Home was in charge.
