A rosary was recited at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1 at Sacred Heart Church.
Funeral services followed at 2 p.m. at the church with the Rev. John Peters officiating.
Burial was at Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of Kubena Funeral Home, Hallettsville.
She was born Dec. 21, 1903 in Lavaca County to the late Frank and Theresa Gebauer Schulte. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas and Sacred Heart Church in Hallettsville.
She is survived by three sons, Donald H. Pagel of Hallettsville, Glenn L. Pagel and Gene Pagel both of Houston; three sisters, Hilda Gibson of Victoria; Elsie Billeck of Weimar and Adela Kita of Houston; 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jasper H. Pagel; her parents; two sisters, Agnes Schulte and Emma Schulte, who died in infancy; three brothers, Fred Schulte, May 12, 1972, Irvin Schulte and Anton Schulte, May 7, 1994.
