MRS. CHARLES HARDING
Martha Merle Harding, daughter of Isaac and Cora Webber, was born Feb. 6, 1905, at Bucklin, Mo., and departed this life Jan. 31, 1941, at the Methodist hospital in Des Moines at the age of 35 years, 11 months and 25 days, after an illness of three weeks.
She was united in marriage to Charles R. Harding June 6, 1926, and to this union were born four children, Russell Lee, who died in infancy, Lloyd Emory, Martha Ann and Jean Letty.
She leaves to mourn her death her husband; her 3 children; her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Webber of Chariton; two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Letty Moon, of Newton; Ernest Webber, of St. Paul, Minn.; Wayne Webber, of Chariton; and Mrs. Clair Moon, of Los Angeles, Calif.; a host of other relatives and many friends.
She was converted and united with the Evangelical church at Russell, Iowa, at the age of 14 years, and later transferred her membership to the First Baptist church at Chariton. Although in recent years her health would not permit her to be active in church work, she was always cheerful and happy in helping those around her and will be greatly missed by her loved ones.
Funeral services, conducted by Rev. E. F. Partridge, were held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock, at the Baptist church and burial was in the Chariton cemetery.
