Fremont, Wild Bill Hickok,and many other frontiersmen. He married Maria Pascuala Bernal; their daughter Pascualita married Kit Carson's son, Billy. Tom was one of two survivors of the seige of Turley's Mill. Gov. John Evans and Col. Sam Tappen asked Tom to apprehend the bloody Espinosa gang. Tom delivered the head of Vivian Espinosa to the governor. Tom and Maria are buried on his ranch, Blanca Trinchera, now privately owned.
