Funeral services for the late Henry Hammond were held at the family home on Academy-st.
Burial was made in the McGrawville Rural cemetery.
Henry Hammond who was the son of Luther and Amy Parker Hammond, was born in the town of Marathon, N. Y., March 5, 1829.
United in marriage with Miss Diana Conrad and four children, two sons and two daughters were born to them.
Mr. Hammond is survived by his two daughters, Mrs. Thomas P. Taylor of Bridgeport and Mrs. Adelaide Wheeler of this village and two sons, M. B. Hammond of Wallingford, Ct. and F. M. Hammond of Bridgeport, also one brother, J. D. Hammond of Cortland and two sisters, Mrs. Fannie Gardner and Mrs. Sarah Beers of this village.
