Mrs. Drusilla E. Ackland, wife of William Ackland, died at her home in Kahoka, Wednesday evening, at 8 o'clock, after an illness lasting about three weeks, at the age of 46 years, 1 month, and 21 days. The funeral will occur today, (Friday), at 11 o'clock, from the Baptist Church in Luray, sermon by Rev. S. Knapp. Burial will be in Luray Cemetery. Mrs. Ackland, whose maiden name was Brokaw, was born in Ohio but resided in Clark County nearly all her life. She early embraced the Christian religion, uniting with the Baptist Church in 1864. She was also a member of the W. B. C., which organization will conduct the services attending the burial. A husband, three sons, George E., Joseph L., and Victor, and one sister, Mrs. Julia Baily, and many other relatives and friends are left to mourn the loss of a loving wife and mother and steadfast friend.
