William C. Clark
dies at 93;
Rites at Algona

ALGONA -- Funeral services for William Cydney Clark, 93, Algona resident the last 11 years, will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in McCullough's Funeral Chapel. The Rev. J. R. Fountain, pastor of First Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery at Bancroft.

Mr. Clark died Sunday at the home of a niece, Mrs. D. D. Sparks, Algona. He was born Dec. 14, 1869 at Canandaigua, N. Y. to William and Sophronia Townsend Clark. He was never married. At various times, he had business interest in Texas and Alaska. He was a brother of the late R. A. Clark, long-time Algona grocer. He came to Algona in 1951 and lived with relatives here.

He was the last of his immediate family, having been preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Surviving are Mrs. Sparks here and a nephew, William Clark, St. Cloud, Minn.
