On may 8, 2001, God, our father, called home one of His faithful servants, Joe Manuel Ball.

Joe affectionately known as "Uncle Jobie". was born on September 13, 1992, in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was the fifth of ten children born to the union of Dimple Lattimore Ball and Wiley Ball. His parents, two brother; Cornelius and Lawrence, five sister; Mary, Magdalene, Martha, Wiley Mae and Lillie all preceded him in death.

Joe attended Stoner Hill Elementary School and graduated from Central High School in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Joe began his Church career at a early age as a member of Johnson Chapel Methodist Episcopal Church in Shreveport. He was a devout Christian and practiced his love for God both in the church as well as in his Community. He uplifted others through his testimony and his desire to give a helping hand.

He entered the U.S. Navy in 1943, after receiving his honorable discharge in 1946, he moved to Los Angeles, California.

In 1993, Joe united with Good Faith M.B. Church where he served on the Trustee Board, the Deacon Board, Youth Counselor and the Senior Choir.

He leave to celebrate his life two sister; Susie Ball Carew of Carson, Ca. and Gennie V, Ball Bias of Los Angeles, Ca. sixteen nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and devoted friends.
