Pat Alvey, 71, Jefferson City, died April 1, 1999, in Jefferson City.

He was born March 17, 1928, in Centralia, a son of Lawrence and Susie Dryden Alvey. He was married Dec. 31, 1949, in Moberly, to Rozella Mae "Billie" Beacom, who died May 21, 1979.

A former resident of Moberly, he was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church, Holts Summit. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He worked for the railroad until 1954. He also owned commercial rental property in Moberly and vending machine services. He sold those businesses to become an agent with the Missouri State Tax Commission from 1971 until his retirement in 1991.

Survivors include: one son; one brother; one sister; and one grandson.

Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Moberly, Mo.
