Veronica was born in Throop, PA in 1917. She spent her childhood there with her 4 sisters and 2 brothers. Both of her parents were from Czechoslovakia.
After graduating High School she and her sister Betty moved to NYC. They worked as salesladies in hat stores, waitresses in many different cafe' and diners.
Veronica or Verna as her friends knew her met and married Barton McIntosh in 1939. They had 3 children, James Crabb, Barbara Anita and Thomas, They lived in Sunnyside, Queens, NY.
Verna worked for over 30 years at Mike's Diner in Astoria, Queens. She was known and loved by many people. She leaves behind 2 children, 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Cause of Death.... Heart Attack
