Elenor Sutton was a daughter of Robert Blain Sutton and his wife. She was married 16 Aug. 1832, Lyons, Wayne Co., NY to Charles W. Westfall son of Jacob DeWitt Westfall and his wife, Mary Middaugh.
Charles Westfall had first come to Michigan in Nov. 1835 with his father-in-law, Robert B. Sutton and others looking for suitable land to farm. They each bought 160 acres in Sections 33 and 34 in Hillsdale County, MI. Charles spent periods of time clearing his land and returning to New York before permanently settling there.
Elenor and Charles had a son, Robert S. Westfall born 12 Aug. 1842; died 23 Apr. 1844 and is buried at Oak Grove Cemetery, Hillsdale Co., MI.
