Mrs. Lawrence (Dorothy) Matthews, 48, of Lansing, wife of a former Kalkaska resident, died Friday, May 14,1978, at a Lansing hospital. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 18, 1973, at Schwartz-Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska, Rev. Robert Wilshire officiating, with burial in Kalkaska Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Matthews was born October 9, 1922, at Flint and moved from Boyne City to Lansing 16 years ago. She was a member of Zion Church of the Nazarene of Lansing. Surviving are: the husband, a daughter, Carren Waldron of Lansing, a brother, Richard Callesen of Mancelona; and four sisters, Donna Wilson of Elk Rapids, Loretta Parish of Eaton Rapids, Gloria Fairchild of Alpena and Doris Totten of Lansing.
