Mrs. P.A.(Ola) Hooker 65, wife of an engineer and bus driver at Hendrick Home for Children died at their home on the grounds of the Children's Home. Mr. Hooker had worked there for 8 years. She had lived in Taylor County for 27 years coming there from Hempstead Co, AR. She was born 12/20/1887 in AR the daughter of John Wiley Reese and Susan Catherine Farley. She married P A Hooker June 29, 1913 in AR. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Preceding her in death were her parents and siblings, Samuel Wesley, Alonzo "Lon", Maggie Ella, David Edward, Harvey Hansford, and Albert Carl. Surviving Mrs. Hooker are husband Pete, daughter Mary Sue, of Abilene; sisters Della Cagle of Clovis,NM; Martha Caroline "Mattie" Hill, Abilene; brothers J.C. Reese of Abilene and Henry Reese. Elliott's Funeral Home was in charge of her arrangements.
